Day Seven

Why would anyone even want to elevate themselves into a god-like preexistence when they could have the reality of their true identity? To pretend that one has a preexistence is just plain vanity, especially when our true identity is so much greater than anything we could possibly try to define as equal with God. Allow me to explain by first summarizing days One through Six of Creation. If you want the Bible verses for this summary, see the rest of my article series titled "Birth of the Earth." God gave out a massively loud cry when He circumcised Himself. That cry sent forth the Light of Life, the first of His works, causing His Holy Spirit to be separated from His Holy waters. In other words, He gave up His Spirit and (sort of) breathed His last. That is why our heavenly Father cannot die. He already did. Thus, humans also die once and then face judgment. To be separated from the spirit is to be dead. Thus, the Light of Life (i.e. Day) and the misery, death, and destruction...

Ex Nihilo

Are we children of God or children of nothing? If Adam was the son of God, Luke 3:38, and if Adam was created in the image of God, Genesis 1:26, then McGrath was not far from correct when he wrote this:   "In one of his dialogues, the classical Greek philosopher Plato developed the idea that the world was made out of preexistent matter, which was fashioned into the present form of the world. As well as being taken up by most Gnostic writers, this idea was adopted by early Christian theologians heavily influenced by Platonism, such as Justin Martyr. They professed a belief in preexistent matter, which was shaped into the world in the act of creation." How about that! Romans 1:20 was fulfilled in Plato. The prominent secular philosopher is recorded in history as admitting that all things came from God, Romans 11:36, not ex nihilo which means "out of nothing." Granted, Plato's understanding about God was not perfect, but whose is? The point is that Plato shared som...

Birth of the Earth #6 - Day One & Conclusion

Day One of Creation & Conclusion IT IS NOT written that God said 'let there be waters.' But, it is written that the waters burst forth out of the womb, Job 38:8 . It is also written by the apostle Peter that the earth was formed out of the waters, 2 Peter 3:5 . It's so cool that the waters also receded and produced the dry ground after the flood, Genesis 8:3-5 ? Moses was drawn out of the waters too, Exodus 2:10 . It is even cooler that the dew-waters evaporated and produced the dry flaky stuff called manna or bread from heaven, Exodus 16:14 . All these signs are related in that dry ground or dust comes out of the waters just like it did on Day 3 of creation. The significance in this relation is two-fold:   God swears by Himself by repeating Himself because there is nobody greater than God The son does what he sees the Father doing, John 5:19 .   Since God did not speak the waters into being, where did they come from? Answer: Genesis 1:1 and Job 26:10 . ...

Birth of the Earth #5 - Days Two & Three

Days Two & Three of Creation God is the source of all things, Hebrews 11:36 . He actually birthed the earth, Psalms 90:2 . That's two separate witness that testify that creation came out of God instead of "ex nihilo" or out of nothing. It also explains why both the apostle Paul and Jesus declared that God has a form, John 5:37 ;  Philippians 2:6 though that form may or may not reside in heaven. The dust of the earth that appeared on day three of creation was taken from or drawn out of the waters according to Peter in 2 Peter 3:5 . Peter wrote these words to draw our attention back to the fact that the earth or dry ground shows lineage to the waters from which it was drawn out of. But, dry ground first appeared on day three of creation. Here's how it reads: Then God said, "Let the waters below the heavens be gathered into one place, and let the dry land appear"; and it was so. God called the dry land earth, and the gathering of the w...

Birth of the Earth #4 - The Soil Shows Lineage Back to God

The Soil Shows Lineage Back to God   Now since mankind has a history of not being the most righteous of creatures, let's instead look at only the testimony of the earth since all flesh is taken from the dust of the earth and all flesh returns to the dust of the earth, Ecclesiastes 3:20. The soil or the dust of the earth really does show lineage back to God quite easily if the words in the Holy Bible are taken at their originally intended meanings chosen by the original authors.   Right about now is the time most Christians will start having a pretty big crisis of faith. Usually that offense goes something like, "if the soil's source of lineage is God then that means man has a preexistence which is not true." Therefore, these people refuse to believe that the soil could be birthed out of God.    Did you notice how the crisis of faith has nothing to do with what is written but has everything to do with the conclusion drawn by the person who has taken ...

Birth of the Earth #3 - Jesus' Example of Showing Lineage

Jesus' Example of Showing Lineage Back to God Jesus is the perfect representation of God because Jesus only spoke the words God gave Him, "Spiritual Lineage." He only does the things He sees God do, "Physical Lineage," and Jesus is always rejoicing in God, His father, "Emotional Lineage." Let's look at how Jesus showed these types of lineage backwards in time to God, creator of Heaven and earth.   Jesus, as the son of God, proves He is God's son by doing what God does. As such, He makes peace between God and man, Romans 5:1 ; 1  Corinthians 7:15, 14:33 . How does Jesus make peace? Jesus rebukes boldly just as it is written in Proverbs 10:10-11 . Remember, it was God who rebuked boldly when He cursed the ground at the fall in Genesis 3. He who winks the eye causes trouble, but he who boldly reproves makes peace. The mouth of the righteous is a fountain of life, but the mouth of the wicked conceals violence, Proverbs 10:10-11 (RSV ...

Birth of the Earth #2 - Birth Defined Biblically

Birth Defined The birth of the earth actually has nothing to do with traveling through and exiting a birth canal. So, let's take a good look at what birth actually means.    The very first time the English word "birth" is used in the Holy Bible is in Genesis 4:1 . The word "birth" means to show lineage. In other words, to show lineage means that there is a similar existence to an original from which the copy came from. This requires a starting point from which the lineage started and replications of that source through time. For example, a child will bear a physical resemblance to both father and mother. For another example, God commanded in Genesis 1 many things to take shape and then to reproduce after their "kind." Thus, the starting point defines the " like kinds " that prove or show lineage back to the original.   The similar existence is not limited to physical appearance. For example: Jesus defined "sons of God" as tho...

Birth of the Earth #1 - Introduction

Introduction to the Crisis of Faith IT IS NOT written that God said 'let there be waters.' But, it is written that the waters burst forth out of the womb, Job 38:8 . It is also written by the apostle Peter that the earth was formed out of and by the waters, 2 Peter 3:5 . Many people ignore these scriptures because they don't fit in with what they have been taught. This is a crisis of faith. It is not wise to ignore any scripture especially when faith comes from hearing the words of God, Romans 10:17 . But, this crisis of faith is why it is important to always beware of the teachings of others, Matthew 15:9 ; Mark 7:7 , regardless who is doing the teaching...including this blog. For more on this crisis of faith, see "Persuasive Speech v. Signs and Wonders" in this blog. As you read this series of articles which will, no doubt, bring you face to face with words that do not say the same thing that you have been taught, please be mindful that you are no...
