Birth of the Earth #1 - Introduction

Introduction to the Crisis of Faith

IT IS NOT written that God said 'let there be waters.' But, it is written that the waters burst forth out of the womb, Job 38:8. It is also written by the apostle Peter that the earth was formed out of and by the waters, 2 Peter 3:5. Many people ignore these scriptures because they don't fit in with what they have been taught. This is a crisis of faith. It is not wise to ignore any scripture especially when faith comes from hearing the words of God, Romans 10:17. But, this crisis of faith is why it is important to always beware of the teachings of others, Matthew 15:9; Mark 7:7, regardless who is doing the teaching...including this blog. For more on this crisis of faith, see "Persuasive Speech v. Signs and Wonders" in this blog.

As you read this series of articles which will, no doubt, bring you face to face with words that do not say the same thing that you have been taught, please be mindful that you are not alone. This same crisis of faith affected Jesus' disciples in John 6, the Pharisees and Sadducees when Jesus and John spoke with them, and even the Bereans when Paul witnessed Christ to them. The Bereans are in Acts 17. This same crisis of faith affects every single person who have ever had thoughts like a child, i.e. all of us that have to be taken captive to the obedience of Christ.

Jesus' disciples did not know how to handle hard doctrine that caused their crisis of faith prior to the cross. But, they continued to search the scriptures to learn. The Bereans, also, did not take Paul's words as instant truth until they searched the scriptures to see if Paul said the same thing written in the Torah. As a result, the Bereans were called "more noble-minded than those in Thessalonica." So, please be more noble minded and test everything you, hear, read, and see against what is written in the Holy Bible. If you don't, just remember there will a time in the not too distant future when God gives power to produce signs and wonders to the Anti-Christ for the purpose of deceiving folks who prefer to follow their hearts instead of what God has said.

In your testings, however, do yourself a favor and use the same hermeneutics the apostles used. Otherwise, it is way to easy to arrive at incorrect conclusions just like the Pharisees did, Matthew 16:3. If you don't know what God's hermeneutics are, please refer to my series of articles entitled and tagged "God's Hermeneutics" before reading this series on the Birth of the Earth.

Thank you,
Diane
