Genesis 1:26 is the verse in which God gave man the authority over the world. The words of God cannot be broken, John 10:35 . Not even by man's unfaithfulness to keep God's words. Yet, many have heard that man gave authority over the world to Satan when Adam fell. The phrase "ruler of the world" is used a handful of times in the New Testament, but there is not one verse that explicitly identifies Satan as the holder of that title.
