Conclusion

All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; 17 so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16-17
Now that we are familiar with Timothy 3:16-17, let us remember that rebuke will not feel good for those who exalt their own interpretations, assumptions, and opinions over God's written word. However, rebuke is necessary for...

Faith comes from hearing the words of truth, Romans 10:17. Without faith we cannot please God, Hebrews 11:6, because faith produces obedience, Acts 6:7; Romans 1:5, 16:26; Hebrews 11:8. Obedience to the point of self denial and its resulting persecution from others demonstrates love for God, John 14:15, through fellowship in Christ's sufferings, Philippians 3:10, and filling up in our flesh the sufferings of Christ, Colossians 1:24.

Such love mirrors God's love for us and thus moves Him to reveal Himself to us, John 14:21, 23, and entitles us to ask for anything with the expectation that we will receive it, John 15:10, 7-11. But, these works of faith cannot be accomplished without the teaching rebuking, correcting and training from the Holy Bible that prepares us to do these very righteous acts of faith, 2 Timothy 3:16-17.

Lies couched in truth come from Satan and produce disobedience. Is it no wonder that approximately 80% of the labor in Christian churches today is performed by approximately 20% of the people? Preachers have indeed reaped what they have sown.
