The First and Last Adam
What a wonderful deja vous in Genesis 1:26-31, 2:5-9; then repeated in Jesus' baptism, desert visit, and ministry! God speaks and thus sows the word as seeds, Luke 8:11. (see Parable Defined) The seeds took time to germinate and grow just like they do today. In the mean time:
- Adam is formed from the dirt, Genesis 3:19.
- God breaths life into Adam, Genesis 2:7,
- washes and greets Adam. Genesis 2:3,*
- Adam walks a garden of dirt, Genesis 2:5, 8, fasting, Matthew 4:4, and worshiping, Deuteronomy 28:47, Hebrews 13:15.
- As a result, the dirt is cultivated, Proverbs 18:20, which waters the earth, Proverbs 18:4, 20:5, Jeremiah 2:13, Psalms 19:7.**
- The earth produces an abundant yield, Genesis 2:5, 9.
Adam's life typifies Jesus' life on earth, Romans 5:14. Thus, Jesus is the second Adam, 1 Corinthians 15:45. Look how Jesus did the same thing His father, Adam, did:
- Emanuel is born of flesh, Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 1:23, taken from dust, John 3:6.
- God breaths life into Jesus as the Father teaches Jesus His words to speak, John 8:28.
- Jesus is washed and greeted by the Father at baptism in water and spirit, Matthew 3:16-17. (Thus, fulfilling all righteousness because He did the same things as Adam.)
- Jesus is led by the Spirit into a garden of dirt called a desert without any food or water just like Adam, Matthew 4:1-2.
- Jesus cultivates the dust of man, Matthew 4:17; Mark 1:14-15; Luke 4:14-21, as a wise man draws living waters out of the mouths of man's hearts, Psalms 15:2, John 7:38, 15:5-8,
- Man, the dust of the earth, brings forth the fruit of praise, Hosea 14:2; Hebrews 13:15, for the abundance of all things. The fruit of man's lips brings pleasure to the Father, Deuteronomy 28:45-47, Hosea 14:1-2, John 17:13, Luke 10:21.
So also it is written, "The first MAN, Adam, BECAME A LIVING SOUL." The last Adam became a life-giving spirit, 1 Corinthians 15:45.

Genesis 2:3
Then God blessed (H1288 meaning to kneel, see quote below) the seventh day and sanctified (H6942 meaning see below) it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made.
LATTOT
Blessed - H1288 - "Barak; to bend the knee, to kneel down; to bless, praise; to be blessed; to pray to, to invoke, to ask a blessing; to greet; to curse. This root and its deriv. occur 415 times in the Heb. O.T. Two hundred and fourteen of them are translated "to bless." The Qal pass. part. "blessed" occurs sixty-one times. The meaning of "to kneel" appears only three times (Gen 24:11; IIChr. 6:13; Ps. 95:6). There was a close association felt between kneeling and receiving a blessing. It was also considered a kindly or benevolent greeting from one person to another. (1 Sam. 26:25; II Kgs. 4:29). The rendering "curse" is a Heb. euphemism."
Strong's
Sanctified - H6942 - a primitive root; to be (causat. make, pronounce or observe as) clean (ceremonial or moral) :- appoint, bid, consecrate, dedicate, defile, hallow, (be, keep) holy (-er, place), keep, prepare, proclaim, purify, sanctify (-ied one, self), × wholly.

The law (from H3384 to flow as water) of the LORD is perfect (from H8552 to complete), restoring (to turn back[hence, away] generally to retreat) the soul (a breathing creature i.e. animal from 5314 to breath);
The testimony (witness) of the LORD is sure (to build up or support) making wise (to be wise) the simple (silly i.e. seducible, foolish).
