Revelation 10 and the Download

Revelation 10 was the very first vision interpretation God gave me after I returned home from the 2004 Intro to IHOP internship. After all these years, I can still feel the invigorating living words touching my soul, but I would be an abomination if I expected you to take my words for all this. Instead, pray-read the Bible yourself and ask God if the green words are true. I did not feel like God told me these things. I was not thinking to myself stuff like, "what was it like for John when..." I wasn't even asking God for an explanation of this passage as I had already thought the passage was quite straight forward and needed no further clarity. But, God just broke into my being with a massive unexpected download of knowledge and I cannot ignore it. Let anyone with ears to hear really hear and be enlivened.

Back story:

The vision of Revelation 10 is preceded by God's judgment of three plaques of fire, smoke, and brimstone which kill a third of mankind. These plagues were not yet released in John's day so the vision of Revelation 10 is yet to be filled as of John's writing of it.

Green lettering is the interpretation God gave me at the same time I read the passage. 

I saw another strong angel coming down out of heaven, [A proclamation from God is about to be heard on earth]

clothed with a cloud; [The angel is in complete unity with God's will.]

and the rainbow was upon his head, [The angel's authority is from the seven spirits of God who have crowned the angel with their authority to accomplish the angel's proclamation.]

and his face was like the sun, [The angel is zealous for God's perfect words.]

and his feet like pillars of fire; [Nothing will stop this angel from accomplishing his task.]

and he had in his hand a little book which was open. [The book is the book that was once sealed with seven seals. The seals were broken by Jesus so that the book can be read and understood by man. The book is the mysteries of God mentioned later in this vision.]

He placed his right foot on the sea [The angel has a concurring authority over all that are in the sea. This is the type of authority that comes from overcoming the world. It is not the kind of authority that is inherent in God's identity. The sea is the surging mass of waters that is in power over the land yet restrained by God's laws from becoming one with the land as it was before Day 2 of creation.]

and his left on the land; [The angel has the same concurring authority over all that is in the earth. The land is the dust from which all life on earth is taken and to which all life on earth returns. Two feet testify as witnesses to the power and the authority that has been given to the angel.]

and he cried out with a loud voice, as when a lion roars; [This is a cry of anguish. It was not easy for the angel to be obedient to what he was told to do because the angel knows what is in the book that he was holding. He was present when Jesus broke its seals and opened the book.]

and when he had cried out, the seven peals of thunder uttered their voices.[The earth that opens its mouth to receive the blood of the saints is speaking to and comforting the angel in his task. The earth told the angel to do what he was sent to do.]

When the seven peals of thunder had spoken, I was about to write; and I heard a voice from heaven saying, "Seal up the things which the seven peals of thunder have spoken and do not write them." [John's time was not God's time to release the mysteries of God which were contained in the book and with which the earth (which was currently being stood upon by the angel) comforted the angel.]

Then the angel whom I saw standing on the sea and on the land lifted up his right hand to heaven, [The angel with consent from both heaven and earth, humbled himself by yielding all power and authority back to the throne of God on high.]

and swore by Him who lives forever and ever, WHO CREATED HEAVEN AND THE THINGS IN IT, AND THE EARTH AND THE THINGS IN IT, AND THE SEA AND THE THINGS IN IT, [This is the angel's verbal witness which is in agreement with the angel's physical witness of lifting of his hand to heaven. The angel is literally standing upon what he was told by the one who had the power to tell him to do what he was told to do. Just so that it is clear to all in the sea and all in the land this is from GOD not the angel. It is the angel's agreement with, "To God be the glory, honor, power and dominion."]

that there will be delay no longer, [The restrainer, who restrains evil, stops restraining evil at this point in time because its the restrainer's turn to die and be dead for a period of 3 1/2 years.]

but in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he is about to sound, then the mystery of God is finished, [Between the 6th and 7th trumpets there is a period of awakening in the entire earth. The secrets that were hidden from the foundations of the world are revealed for the purpose of forcing people into the valley of decision. The sheep will be divided from the goats within the hearts of mankind. Those who have the ears to hear the offensive mysteries will hear and accept them. Those who do not have the ears to hear these offensive mysteries will be made known by their fruit not their verbal proclamations about themselves.]

as He preached to His servants the prophets. [These mysteries will be in total agreement with what was preached by the prophets of old. Human traditions will be exposed for what they are, lies, chains and the restrainer of God's goodness.]

Then the voice which I heard from heaven, I heard again speaking with me, and saying, "Go, take the book which is open in the hand of the angel who stands on the sea and on the land." [John is empowered by God's command to understand the mysteries contained in the book in such a way as to sustain John through John's coming tribulations.]

So I went to the angel, telling him to give me the little book. [John's faith and humility expressed through obedience without question even after the angel cried out in such horrible anguish.]

And he *said to me, "Take it and eat it; it will make your stomach bitter, but in your mouth it will be sweet as honey." [The angel warns John that the words of God John is about to read will be gloriously wonderful to experience, have and hold because they are from God. But, the words will also take John deep into the bitter reality of what God has done in order to bring creation into being. This reality is bitter because of how mankind has sinned upon the face of the one who did what God did.]

I took the little book out of the angel's hand and ate it, and in my mouth it was sweet as honey; and when I had eaten it, my stomach was made bitter. [John enters into unity with God's enormous love and the bitter reality of his (John's) sins.]

And they *said to me, "You must prophesy again concerning many peoples and nations and tongues and kings." [Armed with this bitter reality, John has been sealed into steadfast endurance to the bitter end.] Revelation 10:1-11

Through the years since this download, God has also shown me the other Bible verses that testify in agreement with the events in John's vision of Revelation 10:1-11. So, if you want to test the green words above in a manner in which you are commanded to do, "Test the spirits," then I suggest you do what John did. Humble yourselves before the Lord by coming to Him in a lifestyle of prayer, fasting, and holiness. Then, let Him lift you up into His presence.
